Marikina’s Restaurateurs Got a Head Start with AI

August 5, 2025 — Marikina City, Philippines

Around 50 food business owners across Marikina gathered last August 5 for a powerful hands-on session on AI and digital marketing, facilitated by Amrei Dizon, founder of Introspeck Management Consultancy and long-time digitalization mentor for MSMEs.

The afternoon session brought together members of EATS Marikina, PCCI Marikina, and the broader community of food entrepreneurs eager to understand how AI can support their daily operations and growth. The session wasn’t just talk—it was also a hands-on demonstration of use cases on the use of AI tools particular to restaurateurs.

Participants watched in real time as Amrei showed how AI can be used to:

  • Create marketing content for menus and product promos

  • Generate captions, customer replies, and post ideas in minutes

  • Organize content calendars using AI-powered tools

  • Access and apply industry-specific prompt libraries

Beyond AI, the session also tackled a key pain point for many local businesses: getting found online. Attendees were guided through the essentials of digital visibility, from search engine signals to maximizing Facebook content reach.

Each participant walked away with a deeper understanding of how tools they already have access to — like mobile apps and browser-based AI — can support their day-to-day marketing and content tasks. Most importantly, they left with usable toolkits, a custom GPT for content creation, and prompt guides they could introduce to their teams.

While many industries are still exploring how AI fits into their world, Marikina's restaurant owners are already applying it to theirs.

As Introspeck continues its mission of enabling MSMEs to adapt and lead in the digital age, this session in Marikina is proof that transformation doesn’t have to be loud or complicated — it just has to be real.
